As the story opens, King Henry II, who ruled England from 1154 to 1189 has entered Canterbury Cathedral to do penance at the tomb of his former friend, Thomas Becket. Bare to the waist, the king kneels to receive a flogging from Saxon monks. He begins to reminisce, recalling at first the carefree, promiscuous adventures with Becket, then his favorite drinking and wenching companion. A violently emotional drama that probes the changing relationship between two young men - between two close friends bound together by similar pride of flesh and spirit who become deadly enemies as they pursue their separate destinies . . . that of king . . . and saint.

1945 - Castle Kronberg, outside Frankfurt, is turned into a ‘country club’ for victorious American officers. The cynical Colonel Jack Durant and the dazzling beautiful Lieutenant Kathleen Nash uncover the crown jewels of Germany - more diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and pearls than are gathered in any one place outside the Tower of London. Nash and Durant manage to get the gems to New York, where they must deal with gangsters to fence the loot. To make matters worse for the two renegade officers, Princess Sophie discovers the theft of her jewels and complains to American army headquarters. It now turns out that her brother fought for the Allies and is about to marry the future Queen of England. With double-crossing gangland figures trying to control the gems and the army closing in on them, will Kathy Nash and Jack Durant stay true to one other and their plan? Or will one sell the other out?

A man dies very unexpectedly and leaves behind two men: Jeff, his best friend and Andrea, an Italian he’s been corresponding with online. Jeff informs Andrea of Mark’s passing; Andrea writes back to express his shock and sympathies. On a whim, they continue their correspondence and a rapport grows between them. King Henry II (’Patrick Stewart (I)’ (qv)) keeps his wife, Eleanor (’Glenn Close’ (qv)) locked away in the towers because of her frequent attempts to overthrow him. With Eleanor out of the way he can have his dalliances with his young mistress (’Yuliya Vysotskaya’ (qv)). Needless to say the queen is not pleased, although she still has affection for the king. Working through her sons, she plots the king’s demise and the rise of her second and preferred son, Richard (’Andrew Howard (I)’ (qv)), to the throne. The youngest son, John (’Rafe Spall’ (qv)), an overweight buffoon and the only son holding his father’s affection is the king’s choice after the death of his first son, young Henry. But John is also overly eager for power and is willing to plot his father’s demise with middle brother, Geoffrey (’John Light (I)’ (qv)) and the young king of France, Phillip (’Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ (qv)). Geoffrey, of course sees his younger brother’s weakness and sees that route as his path to power. Obviously political and court intrigue ensues.

Pet Sematary (PS) is a 1989 horror flick based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name. After moving into their new home the Creed family’s cat is killed after wondering onto the highway. Jud an elderly neighbor shows Louis, the father, to an isolated hill behind the local Pet Cemetery and instructs him to bury the deceased feline there. Not long after the cat reappears at the Creed home, only he is not the same. The docile cat is now vicious and destructive. When their youngest son meets with a fatal accident, the distraught Louis buries him in the same location hoping to revive him. Unfortunately he unleashes far more than he had bargained for.
