Five friends find their relaxing summer getaway turning into a bloody battle for survival when they discover that the remote island that they thought was uninhabited has been overrun with vicious, genetically-mutated canines. The story centers on a corporate climber who gets stuck working late on Christmas Eve and finds herself the target of an unhinged security guard. With no help in sight, the woman must overcome physical and psychological challenges to survive.

Scotty Smalls moves to a new neighborhood with his mom and stepdad, and wants to learn to play baseball. The neighborhood baseball guru Rodriquez takes Smalls under his wing, and soon he’s part of the local baseball buddies. They fall into adventures involving baseball, treehouse sleep-ins, the desirous lifeguard at the local pool, the snooty rival ball team, and the travelling fair. Beyond the fence at the back of the sandlot menaces a legendary ball-eating dog called The Beast, and the kids inevitably must deal with him.

Unable to grasp the fact of his brother’s death, Gordie Lachance feels compelled to travel with three friends to see a dead body that has been found near the railroad tracks.
